Overview
IDN (Internationalized Domain Name) homograph attacks leverage the similarity of characters in different scripts to create misleading domain names. This can be exploited for phishing, impersonation, and other malicious activities.

Username homograph attack
- Attackers create accounts with usernames resembling legitimate users by using homograph characters.
- Used for impersonation or to trick other users into interacting with the attacker's account.
File name homograph attack
- Attackers use homograph characters in file names to disguise malicious files.
- This can trick users into downloading and executing malicious files.
